Dream!

so. i had another crazy dream this morning... kelly and i were living in someone elses house, a family on vacation. the whole time i had a bad feeling that we were going to get caught, or that we were doing something we werent supposed to. then there they are unpacking their suitcases in the hallway and wondering who the hell we are. i remember talking to one of the younger guys that lived there or something, sitting by a desk. so they didnt kick us out. scene flash to real life and shadow got out of the gate and was standing by laurens rd until i called him back over. maybe i woke up. but then in the dream jamie came to pick me up. we drove through town and there were large colorful balloons everywhere, i think he said it was like a hot air balloon weekend. I was really excited to see the view of town and imagined how beautiful it would be to see them in the air. but we were leaning against the fence and my hands were shaking and i was crying. and then he left me there on top of the hill and i woke up. dreammoods says: To see balloons in your dream indicate declining hopes and disappointments in your search for love. A situation in your life will take a turn downward. Balloons also represent arrogance and an inflated opinion of yourself. To see an ascending balloon in your dream signifies frustrating conditions in your life in which you are seeking to rise above. You are expressing a desire to escape. On a positive note, balloons symbolize celebration and festivities. You need to acknowledge your inner child. Room: To dream that you are in a room represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. If the room is welcoming or comfortable, then it signifies opulence and satisfaction in life. If you see a dark or confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation. To dream that you find or discover a new room suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally. Consider what you find in the discovered room as it may indicate repressed memories, fears, or rejected emotions. Alternatively, such rooms are symbolic of neglected skills or rejected potential.

In my dream..

..the other night these people had a pet roaming around the house and i looked down, it was coming out from under the bed and i was like, ew is that a bat? and it in fact, was. i've been having lots of crazy vivid dreams lately (since im sleeping half the day) but this was one image that i really wanted dreammoods to interpret for me. (when your mom is in your dream and looks at you and says, you didnt really do that did you? and you did. its kind of self explanatory) anywho, bat:

To see a bat in your dream, symbolizes uncleanness, demons, and annoyances. Alternatively, bats represent rebirth and unrealized potential. You need to let go of old habits. Your current path is not compatible with your new growth and new goals. It may also indicate some unknown situation and how you are blindly entering into a situation or deal. You need to evaluate the facts more carefully.

heard.

In other news, if you want to find out more about kooky clouds like those, put your mouse on this (well i surely wasnt going to post a picture of a gross ass bat now was i?)

Bad Dream

This week was bad news. Happy Birthday = kick in ass from world. ugh.

And last night I had a very elaborate dream about hanging out with people until i crashed and wounded myself and was limping around with a hurt knee. Not like that is very subtle but lets allow dreammoods.com to drive the point home. .

To dream that you are in a car crash, indicates that your beliefs, lifestyle, or goals are clashing with another's. It may also represent a shocking situation or painful experience. Alternatively, car crashes may forewarn of your dangerous or careless driving habits. To dream that you are limping, refers to a lack of balance in some relationship in your life. You feel that the relationship is one-sided. Perhaps you feel that you are giving more than you are getting back or vice-versa.

. . . and the Whale

A few days ago I had a dream that me and 2 other people were swimming, kind of floating/ cruising on top of the water in this huge lake- Like we were boats or something- but I'm pretty sure we weren't in boats. Then we saw a whale and he splashed his tail up and down and got some water on my face. Even though I was already surrounded by water I got really excited that the whale splashed me- like it was some sort of spiritual baptism. I was so happy that the whale decided to splash me, I felt special.

To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. To see a whale in your dream, represents your intuition and awareness. You are in tuned to your sense of spirituality. Alternatively, it indicates a relationship or business project that is too enormous to handle. You may be feeling overwhelmed.

I had to wait a few days to find this out because old trusty dreammoods.com wasn't working properly. Not that I needed it to tell me I'm feeling overwhelmed for that is quite obvious. I just had another crazy dream last night, filled with insecurities and examples of how crappy I feel about myself.

Just a snippet- I was waiting for someone at a resturaunt kind of slumped over and depressed. The waitress came over to me and said there was a dentist across the booth from me, who didn't want to look at me anymore- so I had to leave. .

To see a waiter in your dream, suggests that you are in need of nurturance and to feel special. To dream that you are waiting, is indicative of issues of power/control and feelings of dependence/independence, especially in a relationship. Consider how you feel in the dream while you were waiting. If you are patient, then you know things will happen at their own pace. Alternatively, the dream may denote your expectations and anxieties about some unknown situation or decision. There is a sense of anticipation. You are ready to take action.

Even Soybeans Have Dreams

So I woke up with a really sore throat and went back to sleep for most of the day. Last night I had a weird dream and today I had one too. Havent been remembering them much lately so I guess this is good that I am now. Dreammoods can tell me things I already know.

So I have 2 towels that I always use, and I think my dad had one in his car that was kind of falling apart. They're burnt orange organic cotton from West Elm and I always use them. I trimmed it up or whatever but for some reason in my dream I was returning it, to a department store. They had some that looked the same, the tag said organic cotton, and the lady was going to let me exchange them. But for some reason I had to go to her house, which was like attached to the store. I saw her bathroom kind of had some hotel like products, soap etc in cool containers so I stole them. Then I was wandering around and I couldnt see. I was waiting for her to come back and getting so frustrated with my blindness that I just screamed at the top of my lungs. Then I realized they were on the bathroom counter. Then I went outside and my dad and my brother were in a big open field. Jake was saying there was something wrong with this girl-dog. So we looked and she had a splinter in her pee-pee. But it was a boys pee-pee like shadows. (I think this just means I worry about shadow too much/ and he licks his pee pee way too often)

DM says: To see or use a towel in your dream, suggests that you need to deal with your emotions in order to move forward in your life. You need to find some sort of a resolution. Alternatively, it represents completion, a fresh start and new transition. To dream that you are blind, represents your refusal to see the truth or your lack of awareness to a problem. Perhaps you are rejecting something about yourself or your situation. To dream that you are stealing, denotes that you are deprived and where the stealing takes place (at home, the office, at school....) is indicative of your neediness. Alternatively, it may signify unrealized and unfulfilled goals. You may have set your goals too high. To see green fields in your dream, symbolizes great abundance, freedom, and happiness. You may also be going through a period of personal growth. Alternatively, this dream may simply be an expression for your love of nature. To see dead or barren fields, signifies lack, pessimism and your jaded prospects for the future.

super de-duper eh?

Fly like an eagle

So the other night in my dream I was swinging really high on this swing. It was so high though it was like it was hanging down from the sky, not attached to anything. There was an eagle that was flying around with me. I was zooming around and he was flying by and at one point I shouted at him because I thought he was going to eat me. But he didn't. I don't remember much else. Heres what dreammoods.com had to say about it-
To see an eagle in your dream, symbolizes nobility, pride, fierceness, freedom, superiority, courage, and powerful intellectual ability. It also represents self-renewal and your connection with your spirituality. You will struggle fiercely and courageously to realize your highest ambitions and greatest desires.

To dream that you are on a swing, suggests that you are experiencing great satisfaction and freedom in your waking life. It also symbolizes cycles and movement. Alternatively, it signifies a desire for sexual variety. To dream that you are swinging, suggests that you are going back and forth in some situation and need to make up your mind.

ok then.

The image is from the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard. It is a Tibetan eagle, with a 10 foot wingspan, shot on a search expedition.

Last Night

(in my dream) I got kicked out of the Playboy mansion. .

I remember driving past it with my Dad- a big gray stone building, set back off the busy street in Richmond, Va. It wasn't very impressive. I could tell something was going on, so I tried to talk to Hef about keeping me around. Not sure if I got in trouble for something or what. But he didn't really even pay attention. Then I was having a conversation with the girls, the three that live there now, saying things like "I know I'm different from you guys but I want to get along" and then they just started whispering in each others ears right in front of me.

So I went to pack my stuff. This part probably comes from the anxiety I have about moving yet again and downsizing yet again and still not really having a place for anything. But anyways- there was a huge bookshelf filled with records, and I was trying to find mine and pack them up. There were all kinds of old records, with like skits and plays and I was having trouble finding mine. I remember packing up some books, because there were books everywhere, and I was thinking damn I just want to lay around here all day and read books, and go out at night. Wouldn't that be perfect? Thinking that I hadn't done that enough while I was there. My Dad was sitting there somewhere being grumpy, waiting on my slow ass while I fumbled around.

I put some things in a pile and a big gust of wind came through. Apparently one of the girls rooms was separated from mine by the bookshelf (they were both very small) and the wind went through to her side and cracked the wall underneath her window. Or knocked something into it. I don't know, but she wasn't happy. And neither was I- homeless again.

Heres what dream moods had to say: To dream that you are being evicted suggests that a present relationship or situation is making you feel helpless and powerless. You feel that you cannot fend for yourself and have a sense of not belonging. Alternatively, you believe that you are being unfairly treated. (and deserve a volvo)

Lightning

So I haven't really been able to remember much of my dreams lately. Probably because I've been physically and emotionally exausted and I stay up way too late. But last night/this morning I dreamed I was in the back yard of a house, underneath a little porch and a big storm was whipping all around us. A huge streak of lightning went up and down the sky to my right. Across the yard was a grove of tall pines, and I was screaming for Shadow because he was still out there. In the flash of lightning I saw him standing there looking scared, but after it hit he ran back to me.

In 2 years I've only ever been away from him for a week, and its been like 3 now. Ugh.

I just went to dreammoods.com and here's what it said:

To see lightning in your dream, signifies sudden awareness, insight, spiritual revelation, truth and purification. Alternatively, lightning may imply a shocking turn of events. It suggests the many forces governing your life may be beyond your control and even destructive.

I think I'll have to go with the latter on that one. Recently found out that my little brother has been in the hospital all week. When it rains it pours, as they say.

To see a storm in your dream, signifies overwhelming struggle, shock, devastating loss and catastrophe in your personal affairs. The storm also represents unexpressed fears or emotions, such as anger, rage, turmoil, etc. On a more positive note, the storm signifies your rising spirituality. It could signal rapid changes ahead for you. To dream that you take cover in a storm, foretells that whatever disturbance or problems is occurring in your life will quickly blow over. Consider also the phrase "weather the storm", which suggests your ability and strength to withstand whatever comes.

To see a dog in your dream, symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. To see a German Shepherd in your dream, highlights your protective instincts and attentiveness to a situation. This is no time for your to be nervous and/or lose control.

Well. I guess that says it.

Dream Big

So last night in Charlotte at my uncles house I was sleeping in a little antique bed in the room that his daughter abandoned in favor of the bigger, more grown up room. There were discarded toys laying around and I wondered before dozing off how my surroundings would affect my dreams. Well, it wasnt fun and games. Quite the contrary I was an accessory to murder, of my good friend, in his home. I wasn't the trigger girl but I was there and I didn't stop it. I remember him laying on the floor all small and dead and feeling really, really bad. So I went to my dream shrink at dreammoods.com and it said this:

To dream that you have committed a murder, indicates that you are putting an end to an old habit and your former ways of thinking. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate.

So apparently your surroundings do not affect your dreams (duh) because you are asleep when you're dreaming and it's all from your subconcious. Holla at me Mr. Jung! We need to have a chiz-at.

During the trip from Reston,VA last night my dad and I were finally in the car alone together to talk, so for 6 hours we re-hashed and buried issues from the past and talked about the next steps that we both need to take. He has to kick cancers ass, and I need to move forward with my education, career, and finally begin to cultivate my talents and harness my potential. More importantly I need to become independent, and it seems the relationship I've been in for the last 2 years will need to change in order for those things to happen. Said dead friend still lives with his parents, and although he is financially independant that same house has been keeping him safe for 24 years, which is something I have never been able to experience. So I merely murdered his support structure in favor of the wild and wily woods that I now need to enter, on my own.

Giraffes

I had a weird dream a while ago about riding around in a jeep with some 'friends'. They clipped a giraffes leg, and I got out to dab it and console him. I saw on f-book my friend was interpreting small symbols in her dreams with the help of dreammoods.com. Heres what it told me: To see a giraffe in your dream suggests you need to see the overall picture. Take a broader view on your life and where it's headed.

Shit.
