This is a studio model- I love the soft blue with the pop of bright orange. I think I need some more orange in my life. And more fabulous new york city views like that one.
If nothing else I am myself Thats all I have to give Everything's changing now. .
You can listen to the song Bonfire at their official site and get it stuck in your head too. Hopefully we will be in the same town soon and I can finally rock out to their liveness.
Chairs from the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum- I can't wait to visit on thursday! I've never been there before, and its only 5$ with a student id. I love how those things don't have expiration dates :) Ill have to hop over to the met too since its nearby and freee.
So I asked my friend yesterday what he thought of my blog, since he's been keeping up with it from the beginning and represents 50% of my official blogspot "following". His only comment was "Not enough pictures of Shadow". Point taken. Introducing- the bark to my bite, the wind in my willows, my baby Shadow! We cleaned up the patio this week just so he could lay around on it and look this cute.
The house I'm currently remodeling has a traditional style, so today I was looking for interiors that are more formal but still comfortable. I really love the color and texture of these rooms, the place seems very calm, while still eclectic enough to be interesting. I love the meeting of the chairs here around the dainty gold table. The shape of the lamp, color of the mantle and height of the mirror and ceiling balance with the intricate carpet to keep the room feeling open. Of course the bright windows don't hurt.
So it's pretty obvious I have a huge crush on Charles Lang Freer- founder of the first Smithsonian Art Gallery. Another great artist represented in his collection is Dwight William Tryon. His paintings hung in the gallery capture the colorful stillness of the landscape perfectly, but also the excitement and beauty of it.
I found these pictures and said to myself "I don't know whats going on here, but I like it". Come to find out they're from an online store filled with vintage chairs for half pints! Maybe Ryan over at Pacing the Panic Room can work some of his blog - ad magic and haul one in for LB.
